Position:

Senior Manager – Operational Risk

Role Overview:

Bank Alfalah Limited is searching for an experienced Senior Manager – Operational Risk who possesses more than 8 years of financial services expertise. The selected candidate will operate as a main operational risk advisor while executing framework development and working with both IT and business units to establish effective risk management procedures in the Karachi office.

Key Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of this position involves managing operational risk advisory services which support IT projects and their associated policies and initiatives. The responsibility of this role involves managing all aspects of Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework implementation which includes establishing tools and implementing best practices. The team performs risk assessments through workshops and root cause analysis activities. The team establishes and monitors KRIs together with RCSA and dashboard development and regulatory gap analysis activities. The team works together with internal audit departments and regulatory agencies and different organizational groups. The team helps the bank enhance its risk management and control systems through ongoing improvement efforts.

Candidate Requirements:

• Candidates should possess either an MBA degree or another postgraduate degree which is appropriate for their field of study.

   

• The candidate possesses extensive practical knowledge in operational risk management and risk and control self-assessment and key risk indicator development and incident handling and dashboard creation.

   

• The candidate demonstrates expertise in persuading stakeholders while presenting opposing viewpoints and providing effective direction.

   

• The candidate demonstrates exceptional abilities in communication and analytical thinking and problem-solving.

   

• The applicant should have at least eight years of work experience which pertains to the financial services and banking sectors.
