Senior Officer – Finance
The ideal candidate should have the following qualification, experience and skill sets:
- You’ll need to be part of a known accounting group or have a master’s degree in accounting and finance.
- Plus, you’ll need over 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- It’s a bonus if you’ve worked at a Big 4 audit firm or in the power industry.
- Experience billing for Independent Power Producers (IPPs) is a must.
- You should know all about tariff structures and how IPP billing works.
- You should also understand financial models and future forecasts.
- We expect you to be good at using Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
The main responsibilities of the position will involve:
- Get energy, capacity, delayed payment, and other invoices ready to send to the power purchaser.
- Send invoices using the CPPA-G online supplier site.
- Put together monthly and quarterly indexation requests to submit to the Regulator.
- Log all transactions and receipts in the ERP system using the Accounts Receivable (AR) part.
- Work with other departments to get the info and papers needed.
- Talk to government groups to get approvals for indexations, invoices, fund allocations, and things like that.
- Do other random reporting and receivables tasks that management assigns.
