Senior Officer – Finance

The ideal candidate should have the following qualification, experience and skill sets:

• You’ll need to be part of a known accounting group or have a master’s degree in accounting and finance.
• Plus, you’ll need over 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• It’s a bonus if you’ve worked at a Big 4 audit firm or in the power industry.
• Experience billing for Independent Power Producers (IPPs) is a must.
• You should know all about tariff structures and how IPP billing works.
• You should also understand financial models and future forecasts.
• We expect you to be good at using Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).

The main responsibilities of the position will involve:

• Get energy, capacity, delayed payment, and other invoices ready to send to the power purchaser.
• Send invoices using the CPPA-G online supplier site.
• Put together monthly and quarterly indexation requests to submit to the Regulator.
• Log all transactions and receipts in the ERP system using the Accounts Receivable (AR) part.
• Work with other departments to get the info and papers needed.
• Talk to government groups to get approvals for indexations, invoices, fund allocations, and things like that.
• Do other random reporting and receivables tasks that management assigns.
