Role Overview

The cashier has to handle and process all cash-related transactions efficiently which consist of daily wages, payments to contractors for labor, overtime, employee reimbursements, freight charges, and emergency cash purchases. All cash transactions must be accurate, transparent, and properly documented by the cashier.

• Factories, temp workers, and contractors’ daily wage payments are processed.
• Labor costs including salaries, overtime, freight, and transportation are disbursed per approved lists.
• Proper approvals and receipts are used for employee reimbursements.
• Urgent cash purchase for production, maintenance, and other departments are executed.
• A sufficient cash balance is maintained and timely cash withdrawals are made when needed.
• All cash is kept safe in the prescribed cash box/locker.
• All cash inflows and outflows are recorded daily and a daily cash summary is prepared for the Finance Manager.
• Labor sheets, contractor payment records, and reimbursement logs are kept up-to-date.
• Month-end closing and audits are supported with timely accurate cash reports and documents.
• Payments are made in accordance with company policy, the list is checked before disbursement, and discrepancies are reported immediately.

• A person with an Intermediate or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting is required.
• It is necessary to have 5 to 7 years of working experience in cash handling, preferentially in manufacturing or labor-intensive environments.
• The applicant must have a good command of basic accounting, cash book maintenance, and documentation.
