Role Overview:

In Dubai, our customer is in the process of searching a Solar Design Engineer who is highly qualified, certified, and has the DEWA approval. The right person for the job will be tasked with the creation and execution of solar power system designs that are not only efficient but also compliant with the regulations and project specifications thereby guaranteeing energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves preparing detailed electrical and solar layout designs, performing site assessments, and analyzing energy production capabilities. The engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and consultants to ensure the design aligns with project timelines, safety standards, and cost efficiency goals.

Technical Expertise:

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in PV system design, load analysis, and the use of solar simulation software. Strong knowledge of DEWA regulations, grid connection requirements, and compliance documentation is essential to ensure all designs meet local authority standards.

Project Coordination:

The Solar Design Engineer will play a key role in coordinating with procurement and installation teams, ensuring all technical aspects of solar systems are executed according to design specifications. This includes reviewing drawings, preparing documentation for permits, and conducting post-installation performance evaluations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

The educational requirement for the candidates is a bachelor’s degree in either Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering, coupled with a good grasp of AutoCAD, PVsyst, and similar design tools.
