Job Responsibilities:

Employs a professional method in the construction of structures that bear the stresses and pressures caused by human activities and natural conditions.
Designs buildings, selects suitable materials, supervises building work and proves the structural integrity of the buildings and structures.
Produces reports, plans, and illustrations.
Calculates pressures, loads, and stresses.
Takes into account the strength of building materials and chooses the right one.
Offers expert guidance on designs and constructions that are safe and secure.
Gets planning and/or building regulations approval.
Oversees contracts and handles projects.
Surveys buildings to determine the state of the structure and the foundation.
Applies computer-aided design technology for the purpose of modeling.
Carries out any other duty that is assigned by the management.
