Job Responsibilities:

• Employs a professional method in the construction of structures that bear the stresses and pressures caused by human activities and natural conditions.
• Designs buildings, selects suitable materials, supervises building work and proves the structural integrity of the buildings and structures.
• Produces reports, plans, and illustrations.
• Calculates pressures, loads, and stresses.
• Takes into account the strength of building materials and chooses the right one.
• Offers expert guidance on designs and constructions that are safe and secure.
• Gets planning and/or building regulations approval.
• Oversees contracts and handles projects.
• Surveys buildings to determine the state of the structure and the foundation.
• Applies computer-aided design technology for the purpose of modeling.
• Carries out any other duty that is assigned by the management.
