Position: Deputy Manager – Budgeting & Costing

We are currently on the lookout for a finance professional possessing analytical and attention to detail skills to fortify our Budgeting & Costing function. The perfect applicant should be well acquainted with FMCG costing, budgeting, pricing analysis, and profitability management particularly in the edible oil and associated sectors.

Key Responsibilities include:

– Oil monthly costing profit and loss with development and presentation.
– A monthly projected P&L for Edible Oil, which considers the cost, volume, and pricing assumptions, is drawn up.
– A monthly basis of the presentations is to give the OPEX meetings insights through interaction.
– Make a thorough review of the trade offers, discounts, and promotional schemes, and analyze them for their potential profitability and effect on the product’s overall profitability.
– Determine the cost impact of changes in product recipe, tax structure, and formulation.
– Find out the extent to which marketing and promotion contribute to business margins and profitability.
– Keep an eye on local and international edible oil market trends, and suggest the most suitable pricing strategies for the consumer and industrial segments.

Quarterly expense budgets of all cost centers are to be combined with the collaboration of the internal stakeholders, and the differences will be analyzed comparing them with actuals and the previous budgets.
– The budget to actual comparison will be presented to the top management along with the next quarter forecasts and the reasons for the variance.
– Accurate stock will be maintained all the time by performing regular stock reconciliations and system validations.
– Cost audit activities are to be conducted under SECP regulations and auditor coordination would be required.
