The chosen applicant will have the important task of creating and putting into practice the strategies for sourcing in the category, managing the supplier relationships, bringing about cost savings, and making sure that materials are available on time in line with production and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute category sourcing plans that are in line with portfolio demand and category strategy of the company

   

• Conduct supplier selection, development, and onboarding processes through RFx activities

   

• Study market trends and act proactively to changes in order to maintain sourcing alignment

   

• Be responsible for contract negotiations and price discussions so that the best commercial terms and cost outcomes are gained

   

• Supervise the supplier’s entire lifecycle from beginning to end making sure that the supplier’s performance meets the defined KPIs

   

• Start and continue with early price negotiations in order to get competitive costs at volume production levels

   

• Encourage constant improvement in supplier performance, quality, and cost efficiency

   

• Look into spend data and assist in making strategic decisions with the help of cross-functional teams

Education & Experience Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline will be accepted

   

• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification will be seen as a positive factor

   

• More than 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in direct procurement or category sourcing

   

• Solid grounding in financial analysis; research experience will be regarded as a plus

   

• Manipulation of spending analytics for multi-functional organizations is one of the skills

   

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and ERP systems is a must

• Genius in analysis with problem-solving skills that are second to none

   

• Very good at managing a number of suppliers and categories concurrently
