The recruitment of a Senior Officer – Commercial will significantly impact the commercial operations’ productivity, managing contracts and procurement activities, and vendor coordination. In addition, he or she will be the one responsible for adhering to the company’s policies and governmental regulations. The person’s work will be vital for the upsurge of efficiency and the continuous growth of Shanghai Electric’s mining sector in Tharparkar.

Key Responsibilities

• Cooperate with the Manager – Commercial in performing daily commercial and administrative tasks

   

• Prepare, collect, and summarize commercial and operational data for reporting

   

• Control materials and service contracts by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract papers in English and Chinese

   

• Be present in contract negotiations and provide assistance to signing of contracts

   

• Put procurement plans into practice according to operational requirements and project needs

   

• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to make sure that procurement and service delivery are on time

   

• Back up financial payments, simple statistical analysis, and commercial documents

   

• Execute more tasks and assignments as per the instruction of upper management

Eligibility & Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in the fields of Business Administration, Business Economics, Finance, Management or a related one.

   

• At least 3 years of relevant experience is required and preference will be given to coal mining, energy, natural resources or industrial sectors.

   

• A very good procurement processes, contract management, vendor management and negotiations understanding.

   

• Knowledge of financial payments, commercial statistics and purchasing processes is expected.

   

• Computer and software application skills are very important.

   

• Very good command of English is a must; Chinese knowing will be a considerable advantage.

   

• Preference will be given to the Applicants who live in Tharparkar or nearby.
