The person chosen for the position will be instrumental in the management of underwriting operations associated with miscellaneous and general insurance products. By interacting frequently with internal stakeholders, the new hire will be involved in risk assessment, portfolio management, and compliance with underwriting policies, besides helping EFU to maintain its standard of excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• At the Karachi Head Office, you will be responsible for managing and executing underwriting activities for miscellaneous and general insurance products.

   

• Your job will involve to analyzing, assessing, and evaluating risks that are related to the insurance proposals in order to have accurate and profitable underwriting decisions made.

   

• You will have to make sure that there will be no deviations from the company’s underwriting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

   

• You will need to coordinate well with the sales, claims, and other internal departments to make sure that the underwriting operations run smoothly.

   

• You will be involved in the supporting of portfolio management activities, which include risk control, policy review, and underwriting support functions.

   

• You will assist in the preparations of the underwriting documentation, reports and records that are in accordance with the company’s standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an HEC-recognized University; BBA or MBA will be Preferred

   

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of Relevant Experience in Miscellaneous or General Insurance Underwriting

   

• Strong understanding of Miscellaneous Insurance Products, Risk Assessment Techniques, and Underwriting Processes

• You possess outstanding skills in analysis, communication, and decision-making

   

• You can perform tasks solo or together with others in a team

   

• You are a person with excellent organizational abilities and you focus on the smallest details

   

• You are capable of using basic computer programs and underwriting systems proficiently
