The chosen applicant will have to supervise everyday finance activities, control the general ledger, provide support in the audits, and make sure that the financial reporting for the organization’s Lahore operations is accurate and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

• To begin with, a daily finance operation must be supervised, which includes not only Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger but also Payroll.

   

• General Ledger accounts must be maintained, reviewed, and controlled so that monthly closing entries are accurately and timely made.

   

• Accruals have to be recorded, and complete financial statements prepared including monthly Profit & Loss and quarterly Balance Sheets.

   

• There must be timely reconciliation of all bank accounts so that Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) can be prepared.

   

• Store-wise monthly P&L reports must be prepared, and variance analysis performed against the approved budgets.

   

• Financial projections should be developed, budgets monitored, and comparison and performance reports prepared.

   

• SECP filing, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements are to be fully complied with.

   

• The General Ledger team consisting of revenue, receivables, expenses, and payables is to be led and supervised.

   

• The financial agreements incorporating leases must be managed, monitored, and renewed in time.

   

• Communication with internal and external auditors is to be done, and timely resolution of audit observations ensured.

   

• A thorough review of GL balances must be done, and necessary adjustments or revisions proposed.

   

• Accurate financial insights and reporting for decision-making are to be provided to management.

Job Specifications & Requirements

• Education: CA (Intermediate), ACCA, ICMA, or MBA (Finance)

   

• Experience: Not more than 5 years experience in positions related to accounts and finance, preferably in retail or apparel industries.

   

• Technical Skills: Strong and thorough understanding of General Ledger, BRS, and financial reporting.

   

• Software Skills: Outstanding skills in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.

   

• Soft Skills: Outstanding capabilities in analysis, communication, and group leadership.
